COMEA is in need for volunteers to help in the following areas:
Homeless Point-in-Time Count: January 26th, 2018.
The Homeless Point-in-Time Count is a yearly event across the nation where we try to count exactly how many homeless people exist in the United States.
As explained by the National Alliance to End Homelessness, “Point-in-time counts are important because they establish the dimensions of the problem of homelessness and help policymakers and program administrators track progress toward the goal of ending homelessness. Collecting data on homelessness and tracking progress can inform public opinion, increase public awareness, and attract resources that will lead to the eradication of the problem.”
If you are interested in joining us as a volunteer for this event or have any questions, contact Shandra Lazar or Tania Mendez by email at email@example.com or by phone at 307-632-3174
The following link will provide more information on the event.
Every night, we rely on volunteers to help us cook dinner for the residents, serve the food, and clean up our dining room. We request that volunteers show up 15-30 minutes before dinner and stay until the dinner service is over. We encourage people to help out any night they are available!
Organize Clothing Donations
COMEA is so blessed to receive so many clothing donations from the community! We have received so much, that we actually have trouble keeping it all organized and placed in the correct areas. Any help in organizing these donations would be a tremendous help for our staff as we try to make room for more clothing donations.
